200+ protocols, seven ports open

The Moon core (Traccar) speaks 200+ tracker protocols. We keep seven ports open today, because those seven cover the hardware actually in service. Any other port is opened on request, normally within 24 hours.

The full list of devices the core supports is published by the Traccar project: traccar.org/devices. If yours is on it, the work is a port and a test, not a rebuild.

Server

trackers.moongpstracker.com (169.58.68.140), TCP. Some firmware refuses domain names: in that case use the IP, which is already published in public DNS for exactly this reason.

APN: the one belonging to your SIM. Ours are iot.1nce.net (1NCE) and iot.truphone.com (Truphone), both with an empty APN username and password.

Ports and protocols

These are the ports our edge accepts today. The guide column is the page with the exact commands for that family.

Port Protocol Typical devices Setup guide
5002 tk103 TK103 and compatible "soap bar" trackers Open the guide
5013 h02 Sinotrack ST-901/ST-907, Coban-style 5-pin clones Open the guide
5015 JT808 / Huabao JT/T 808 trackers, cameras and dashcams Open the guide
5022 gt02 Some GT02 units that do not speak gt06 Open the guide
5023 gt06 Concox GT06N/GT06E and GT06-protocol clones Open the guide
5027 teltonika Teltonika FMB, FMC and FMM families Open the guide
5093 watch TK806 and "watch protocol" trackers Open the guide

All TCP, all on trackers.moongpstracker.com (169.58.68.140).

Before you leave the factory password on

Each guide uses the factory password of its family: 123456 for GT06, Coban-style h02 and TK806 devices, 666666 for TK103, 0000 for Sinotrack. Teltonika is the exception: it ships with no SMS login and password at all, which is why its commands start with two spaces. A tracker left like that can be reconfigured by anyone who knows its SIM number.

It is worth being blunt about this: every guide on this site publishes commands that use the factory password, because that is what a device ships with and pretending otherwise helps nobody. The protection is not secrecy — it is changing the password, or using SIMs that only accept SMS from the platform that issued them.

Don't see yours? Tell us the model

Send the make, model or protocol name to support@moongpstracker.com. We open the port and test it with you — and if it turns out we cannot take it, we say so instead of selling you a workaround.

Or buy the hardware from us

Two models, sold with the plan already in the price. Same platform, nothing to configure.

Questions about hardware compatibility

My tracker is not on this list. Can you still take it?
Very likely. The Moon core speaks over 200 tracker protocols; we keep seven ports open because those seven cover the hardware in service today. Tell us the make and model and we normally open and test the port within 24 hours, with you.
Do I have to buy hardware from you?
No. Bring the trackers you already own — the licence is the same either way and the devices stay yours. We sell two Moon Tracker models for people who would rather buy the hardware and the plan together.
Do I use the hostname or the IP?
Start with trackers.moongpstracker.com. Some firmware — the GT06 and Coban-style clones in particular — accepts a hostname and then ignores it, so those guides publish the IP 169.58.68.140 instead. It is the same host, already public in DNS.
Can I run the old platform and Moon at the same time during a migration?
On Teltonika hardware, yes: set Moon as the secondary server in FOTA WEB with Backup Server Mode "Duplicate" and every record goes to both. On other families the device reports to one server at a time, so we migrate in batches and keep the fleet working.
How long does moving a fleet take?
Per device it is one or two SMS. GT06 hardware lands in about twelve minutes, most others in a few. The work is not the command, it is the sequencing: tell us the fleet size and hardware mix and we will plan the batches with you.
