Sinotrack ST-901 and ST-907: point them at Moon with 804
One SMS, one verification command. The confusing part is that "h02" covers two different hardware families that take different commands — this page is the 804 one.
In service on our platform; unit count not published
Server: trackers.moongpstracker.com (169.58.68.140), TCP. Some firmware refuses domain names — then use the IP.
What it is
Sinotrack ST-901 and ST-907 are low-cost wired trackers that speak the h02 protocol. The ST-901 is the common wired unit; the ST-907 is the same electronics in a different housing with an installation-friendly harness.
They are configured entirely by SMS, and unlike the Coban-style clones on the next page they take a hostname rather than insisting on a numeric IP.
What you need
A data SIM in the device, and the APN string for that SIM
The SIM's phone number for the SMS below
The device IMEI, printed on the case
APN examples
The APN belongs to the SIM, not to the tracker. These are the two we use ourselves:
1NCE: iot.1nce.net
Truphone: iot.truphone.com
On both, the APN username and password are empty — which is the usual case on IoT SIMs.
If your SIM comes from a mobile operator, ask them for all three values.
SMS commands
The 804 command is "804" followed immediately by the device password, then a space, the server and the port. On a factory device the password is 0000, which is why the command below reads 8040000.
Point it at Moon
8040000 trackers.moongpstracker.com 5013
804 + 0000 (the factory password), then the server and the port separated by spaces. The device reboots its connection and reconnects on its own.
Read the configuration back
RCONF
The device answers with its current configuration, including the server and port it is pointed at. This is the fastest way to know whether the 804 landed.
Fallback: numeric IP
8040000 169.58.68.140 5013
Use this if RCONF shows the new server but the device never connects: some firmware builds accept a hostname and then fail to resolve it.
After the device is configured it turns up in Unknown devices in the Moon
panel — or straight on your map, if you registered its identifier first. The first position
normally lands within minutes.
What Moon shows you
Live position, speed and full trip history with stops and addresses
Ignition state on units wired to the ignition line
Supply voltage and the internal backup battery
SOS, movement and power-cut alarms as the device raises them
What it does not do
No CAN data. Distance comes from the positions the device sends, not from a vehicle odometer.
Engine cut depends on the variant and the installation — confirm before you rely on it.
Which values arrive depends on the device and the installation, never on your licence:
every Moon account has the whole platform.

Gotchas
The things that cost us time on real vehicles, written down so they do not cost you any.
"h02" is two families, not one
Port 5013 accepts h02, and two quite different hardware lineages speak it: the Sinotrack units on this page, which take 804, and the Coban-style 5-pin clones, which only take adminip and ignore 804 completely.
If 8040000 produces nothing — no acknowledgement, no change in RCONF — you probably have the other family. Try adminip123456 169.58.68.140 5013, or read the Coban page.
Send both commands and let the device pick
When you are migrating a mixed batch and cannot tell the families apart by sight, send both the 804 and the adminip forms. Each device executes the one it understands and ignores the other. It is not elegant, but it halves the work on a bench of unlabelled hardware.
Factory password
The commands on this page use the factory password (0000, or 123456 for the adminip fallback). A tracker left on its factory password can be reconfigured by anyone who knows its SIM number. Change it, or use SIMs that cannot receive SMS from outside numbers — the 1NCE and Truphone SIMs we ship are set up that way.
Sinotrack ST-901 and ST-907: questions we get asked
804 does nothing. What now?+
You most likely have a Coban-style h02 clone rather than a Sinotrack. Those only accept adminip123456 169.58.68.140 5013 and ignore 804 even when the SMS is confirmed delivered. Send the adminip form; if it then appears, that is what you have.
How do I check the command worked?+
Send RCONF. The device replies with its configuration, including the server and port. If it shows trackers.moongpstracker.com and 5013, the 804 landed even if the device has not connected yet.
Hostname or IP?+
Start with the hostname — Sinotrack firmware normally resolves it, and a hostname survives an infrastructure change. Use 169.58.68.140 if RCONF is right but no data arrives.
Is the ST-907 different from the ST-901?+
Not for this purpose. Same protocol, same port, same commands. The difference is the housing and the harness, which matters for the install, not for the server configuration.
Two ways to go from here
Send the commands yourself and register the device in the panel, or tell us what you have
and we will confirm what it can do on Moon before you commit to anything.
