Fair is fair

What GPSWOX does well

  • It is a mature platform. It has been in the market a long time and it shows.
  • It speaks a lot of hardware, which is the thing that actually blocks most migrations.
  • White-label is a real product for them, not a checkbox.
  • Getting started is quick: you can have devices reporting in an afternoon.

If you are running twenty vehicles and it works, there is no reason to move for the sake of moving.

Our reasons

Why we built our own

  • We wanted control of the roadmap. Waiting on someone else's release cycle for something your operation needs this quarter stops being acceptable at a certain size.
  • We wanted the API and the data on our terms — to connect tracking to booking, billing and maintenance systems we run ourselves.
  • We needed a native multi-company hierarchy, several levels deep, because our fleets are groups of companies and not one flat customer list.
  • At our scale the architecture underneath mattered more than the feature list on top.

None of that is an insult. It is what happens when a tool that fits you at 100 devices stops fitting at 1,200.

Side by side, on facts

Every figure in the GPSWOX column comes from gpswox.com. Where their published pages say nothing, the row says so instead of guessing.

  Moon GPS Tracker GPSWOX
Price per device £19.99 / €22.99 per device per year, in packs of 10 licences. One plan, every feature. Lite €2.99/month (billed yearly, 1 object). Basic €9.97/month (billed yearly, 1–5 objects). Pro €49/month (1–50 objects). White Label from €99/month (1–50 objects).
What that works out to per device €22.99 per device per year at any fleet size, from 10 devices to 10,000. Their Pro plan is €588 a year: €11.76 per object at 50 objects, €58.80 at 10. Our arithmetic on their published price, not a quote from them.
Price above 50 devices Same £19.99 / €22.99 per device per year. No tier above it. Not published on gpswox.com (August 2026)
Multi-level sub-companies Yes. A company can contain other companies, several levels deep; each sees only its own vehicles. Not published on gpswox.com (August 2026)
Public API and webhooks Yes, on every account, with no add-on. Docs on request until they are online. Not published on gpswox.com (August 2026)
SMS and GPRS commands, gated by role Yes. Both channels, with engine commands limited to operators and admins of the owning company, and every attempt logged. Not published on gpswox.com (August 2026)
Where the data is hosted In the EU, on infrastructure we run ourselves. Not published on gpswox.com (August 2026)
Data processing agreement Available on request. Not published on gpswox.com (August 2026)

GPSWOX published pricing, August 2026, from gpswox.com/en/pricing; feature rows checked against gpswox.com/en/features and their home page on the same date. "Not published" means we could not verify it from those pages — not that the feature does not exist. Prices exclude VAT. Our per-device arithmetic is stated as arithmetic, not as their price list.

What migrating actually involves

Point your trackers at our server and keep your hardware. That sentence is the whole plan for most fleets: around 200 protocols are supported, so the devices you own already speak a language Moon understands.

We do it in batches rather than in one night. A group of devices moves, you check that the map, the trips and the commands look right for that group, and only then does the next batch follow. During the changeover a fleet can keep reporting to both systems, so nothing depends on a switch that has to work first time.

One honest limitation: while a device is on Moon, commands sent from your old panel do not reach it. That is a reason to move a batch cleanly rather than to leave a fleet half-moved for months, and we plan the sequence around it.

Or send the device list straight to support@moongpstracker.com and we will tell you what moves easily and what does not.

Questions about moving off GPSWOX

Do we have to change our trackers?
In most cases no. Around 200 protocols are supported — Teltonika, Concox/GT06, Queclink, Sinotrack, h02, tk103 and others — so the usual move is to point the devices you already own at our server. Send us the make and model and we will confirm before you commit to anything.
Does our trip history come across?
Not automatically. Repointing a tracker starts its history on Moon from that moment; what is in your current system stays there unless you export it. Tell us what you can get out and in which format, and we will tell you honestly what we can do with it.
Can we move part of the fleet first?
Yes, and it is how we would do it. Devices move in batches, so a group runs on Moon while the rest keeps reporting where it did before, and you decide when to move the next batch.
Are you saying GPSWOX is bad?
No. It is a mature platform, it supports a lot of hardware and it got several of our fleets running quickly. We moved because we needed control of the roadmap, the API and the data, and a native multi-company hierarchy — not because it stopped working.
